India Business Excellence Fund I (IBEF I), closed in 2007, is a $83 million private equity fund. IBEF I is a sector agnostic fund with a focus on providing growth capital to mid-sized Indian companies. The fund primarily targets mid-size Indian companies with a bias towards companies that have competent management, superior execution capabilities and are driven by domestic consumption. The fund is sensitive to minority interest protection rights and works on defined exit parameters.
